Rafael del Valle Lopez, Founder and CEO
Prior to VIDA Software, Rafael has been involved in, and has led, several software product development lifecycles for companies such as Reuters and TIBCO Software. The products he has been involved with were marketed successfully, and are still in production for companies such as Reuters and CNN.
Rafael founded VIDA Software in April 2001.
Rafael holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Granada, where he specialised in Mathematical Fundamentals and Artificial Intelligence.
Juan Campos, Director of Business Development
Juan is responsible for global sales and business development across all markets, product lines, and geographies. Previously Juan worked for Telisma, France Telecom's voice recognition software company spin-off, as General Manager for Iberia and South America region. Prior to this role, he was Business Development Manager for Southern Europe at Lucent Technologies. He has also worked for Microsoft, EMC and Alcatel, where he shared the responsibility for taking the utilities business unit from $0 to $7M in sales.
Juan holds a sciences degree from the Complutense University in Madrid, he also holds a PDD Master at IESE and an executive master degree in e-Business from IE in Madrid.
Angela Carson, Director of Marketing
Angela is responsible for Product Strategy, Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, Branding and Partner Programmes worldwide. A 10 year veteran of early stage ventures, Angela has a track record of building cutting-edge brands and delivering successful programs to drive revenue and build market awareness for companies including Agenda Computing, Fractus, and Clearpeaks. In 1991, Angela drove the launch of the Agenda Computing VR3 – the worlds first Linux OS PDA – to the global market.
Angela attended the University of California Irvine and University of California San Diego, specialising in marketing.-

Victor Peral Lecha, Director of Professional Services
Victor is responsible for the Professional Services group at VIDA Software. Previously, Victor worked as Project Manager for Orange Labs UK in London, where he led various R&D projects involving key players in the worldwide mobile arena, the Orange Strategic Marketing department and other international affiliates of the Orange Group. Prior to this role, as Project Manager and Senior R&D Engineer for France Telecom R&D in France, Victor was involved with diverse and innovative speech technology, multimedia service and biometrics projects, several of which are still commercialised today. Victor holds several patents in the multimedia domain, participated in the definition of ETSI standards, and has contributed at international conferences as speaker or co-chair.
He earned a Telecommunications Engineering degree from Polytechnic University of Catalonia and completed his final thesis at CNET, former French National Telecom Research Centre.
Xavier Ferro, Head of Product Development
Xavi is responsable for all software development at VIDA Software. Before joining VIDA, he was development manager for an e-learning development platform based on the SCORM standard and worked for several years as development manager in the Centro Internacional de Métodos Numéricos para la Ingeniería (CIMNE). Since 2001, Xavi also collaborates with local universities on artificial intelligence projects.
Xavi holds a technical engineering degree from UdL and superior engineering degree from UPC. He is currently working on his masters in information security degree.
Miguel Cercós Garcia, Head of Quality Assurance
As the Head of Quality Assurance, Miguel is responsible for defining and implanting VIDA’s quality system to ensure compliance with leading industry-standard models CMMI and UNE 16600x (R+D+i). In addition, Miguel leads all initiatives to improve the engineering practices of the company. Prior to joining VIDA in 2000, Miguel worked for 3 years in the European Space Port in Kourou (French Guiana) and contributed to the preparation and launch of Ariane – as a consultant with GTD Sistemas de Informacion.
Miguel earned his telecommunications engineering degree from Polytechnical University of Catalonia (Barcelona) in 1999, specialising in signal processing and completing his final thesis in the Astrophysical Department of the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis (Nice, France).
